Cryo & Weight loss

Weight loss

The process of trying to lose weight and body fat can be frustrating, time consuming and confusing for most people, but it doesn’t have to be. At Taylored Physiotherapy, located within Norwest we have a natural and safe solution that has been proven and backed by scientific validation for years to aid in weight loss, Cryotherapy!

The idea of freezing off fat sounds tempting but is made even better by the numerous cryotherapy studies that have the incredible results to back such claims. The point of difference for Cryotherapy is that the process works to rapidly increase your metabolic rate which in conjunction with a healthy and balanced eating plan, along with a regular exercise program is proven to be one of the most effective weight loss methods.

Within the process of cryotherapy, the body is exposed to extreme and cold temperatures. When stepping out of the cryo sauna, the body must revert to its normal core temperature to continue optimal functioning throughout the day. The body’s process of reverting and maintaining a normal temperature after a cryotherapy session can burn up to 800 extra calories throughout the day, therefore three minutes within the cryosauna can clock up weight loss results similar to those of running or bike riding at an intense level for 45 minutes.

Unlike many traditional weight loss methods, cryotherapy works to target the more stubborn brown fat, along with cellulite to provide noticeable and almost immediate results. As your body is tricked into thinking it is beginning to freeze, that much dreaded, stubborn brown fat within your body begins to break down in order to attempt to raise your core temperature. Within cryotherapy, the sudden exposure to extreme and cold temperatures causes the blood vessels to contract and then to dilate. This process oxygenates and provides healing enzymes and nutrients such as collagen to the cells of the body. The production of collagen works to improve elasticity and firmness of the skin, thus working to reduce the appearance of cellulite.
